Am I My Brother’s Keeper

Bible Text: Genesis 4:9; 1 John 2:8-9; 2 Kings 5:2-3; 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 Genesis 4:8 |

Genesis 4:8 Now Cain said to his brother Abel, "Let's go out to the field." And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him. 9) Then the LORD said to Cain, "Where is your brother Abel?" "I don't know," he replied. "Am I my brother's keeper?" Am I my Brother’s Keeper??? Jesus Christ says yes! Yes you are your brother’s keeper… John 15:12 This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Romans 12:9- 10 Let love be without dissimulation (dishonesty, fake). Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectionate one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another. We are to proclaim the Love of God as we live our everyday lives. In 2 Kings 5:1-19 we find a young captured girl proclaim the Love of God by telling Naaman’s wife of the prophet in Samaria that could heal him. As we read the scriptures we find that many proclaim the Love of God by acts of love toward others. Please take the time to read 2 Kings 5-1-19 to see how many times you can identify acts of Love displayed and let me know next Sunday. Love and

Blessings,

Sister Ouida
