Acts 3:1-8    Two Broke Preachers

I want to testify and confess at the same time.  This past Sunday was such a blessing to me; the testimony service was off the spiritual chain.  Of course my testimony is my spirit was renewed and God reminded me that I am blessed and highly favored and no one can take that away from me.  My confession is that maybe I should have left well enough alone.  The spirit was so high that I attempted to preach when we should have just danced the afternoon away.  Sometimes you just got to let go and let God have his way, and not get in the way.
All of the testimonies were a blessing and you could just feel the presence of the Lord; I felt as though chains were broken and NFC was being set free.  I spent the rest of the day thinking about that service.
In my message I really wanted to express that those preachers were broke in three ways:
1.  They were broke financially proving that when God calls you to service, it has nothing to do with how much money you have and are going to earn.  When it came to delivering a soul, Peter and John had no money, they couldn't supply the natural need of the man at the gate.
2.  They had to broken in spirit.  Not high minded and looking down on the man begging.  When God calls he calls you from a life of high-mindedness and to one of meekness.  I believe Peter and John saw themselves at one time in this mans place; in need of more than just a monetary gift but in need of a spiritual healing.
3.   They had to be broken in service; sometimes we don't mind praying for others.  We pray hard and long but don't have to worry about getting our hands dirty.  The disciple reached down and grabbed a hold of the man, lifting him to his feet.  Lifting him to his healing.  Lifting him to new understanding of what just happened.  Lifting him to his new found strength.  Sometimes we too need to touch and lay hands on others; it is almost like connecting to their pain.
When these chain of events between Peter, John and the man at the gate happened, then and only then do those in need leap, walk and show others their true deliverance in Christ Jesus.
